3 - Building The Foundation
Welcome to the "Building the Foundation" Program, the third and exciting phase of our Toddler Development Model. This program is designed to progressively challenge young kids as they build upon the skating foundation they've developed. Our unwavering foundation remains centered on fostering a love for each session, creating an environment where kids are excited to push their boundaries and explore advanced skating mechanics. Here's an overview of what this program entails:
As young athletes move forward in their skating journey, we introduce progressively challenging elements to help them push beyond their comfort zones. These challenges are carefully tailored to the individual abilities and developmental stages of each child, ensuring that they experience growth and accomplishment.
Advanced Skating Mechanics
In this program, we engage deeper into toddler advanced skating mechanics. Kids will have the opportunity to refine and enhance their skating skills, including:
Optimizing Stride Intro: Focusing on achieving efficiency while targeting an optimal young player stride.
Edgework: Helping players control their change of direction and focus on ankle motion
Full Body Control: Learning how to control and engage the players entire movement consistently
Transitional Intro: Introduction to backwards skating and transitional techniques
Skating Treadmill System
A unique feature of this program is the utilization of our skating treadmill system. This innovative tool allows young athletes to work on their skating mechanics in a controlled environment. It provides instant feedback and helps kids make targeted improvements in their technique. "On The Spot" Correction - only way to help improve the foundation in a controlled environment.
