Outline - Team Development
At Nexus Development our team development prioritizes building an inclusive environment while fostering team togetherness. Our programs are designed to enhance team dynamics, develop individual and collective skills, and promote a strong sense of unity among players.
Each program we recognize the importance of creating a positive and inclusive environment where every team member feels valued and supported. We prioritize building strong relationships and promoting a sense of camaraderie among players. By cultivating a culture of inclusivity and team compete, we lay the foundation for a cohesive and high performing team.
We provide options for teams to develop skills that directly influence team performance in both the regular season and the offseason. Reference options below.
Circuit Development Training
Our Circuit Development Training offers a well rounded comprehensive and efficient approach to team training. We Focus, On Ice Development | Skating Treadmill | Off Ice Training | Team Building.
Session are 2.5 Hours and include skate sharpening.
On Ice | This component allows player to refine their skill foundation in a controlled small group environment, Our experienced coaches follow a targeted set of drills based on teams demand to the season.
Treadmill | This advanced skating tool also for teams to focus on their direct skating mechanic while coaches can make real time on-the-spot corrections in a small group training environment
Off Ice | This area is focusing on age appropriate strength and conditioning circuits. These session are designed to improve direct areas that influence in game performance. Learning proper activation and recovery while building, strength, stamina, speed, agility, and mobility.
Team Building | We understand the significance of team dynamics, trust and cohesion. Thats why our circuit development training includes dedicated team building exercises and activities.
Skill Development Programming
Our on ice development programs are designed to create a highly competitive, collective, while challenging environment that players can improve on ice performance. We provide development models to help players build their skill foundation while understanding how to incorporate to the right situations and finally implementing into game situations.
Two Options include - Full ice programs or Nexus facility small group training
Skill Foundation Development | These programs are targeting direct skills for players incorporated into teams sessions.
Shooting Clinics, Contact | Hitting Sessions | Power Skating
Situational or Systemic Sessions | We provide session based on improving situational skills. i.e creating shooting lanes from distance for defenceman. In addition we can build systematic teaches for teams and coaches. D zone, O zone forechecks, special teams.
Hockey IQ Skill Development | This program is designed to incorporate visual learning techniques through modern technology.
Part 1 - Film teams game
Part 2 - Development Coach will Analyze and build skill development model
Part 3 - Review with team. Allowing plays to see focus for session.
Part 4 - Get on Ice and complete development from video session.
Bonus Team Events | We also run team pre skates, tryouts, on ice testing session, team building, intersquad events, etc.
Strength and Conditioning | Dryland Training
At Nexus we are dedicated to helping hockey teams optimize their performance both on and off the ice. With our specialized strength and conditioning programs, offseason team training options, emphasis on recovery and preparation we are committed to helping teams in pursuit of excellence in efforts of maximizing potential.
During the season our coaches design comprehensive strength and conditioning programs tailored specifically for hockey teams. We understand the unique physical demand of the sport and focus on enhancing players strength, power, speed, agility and overall endurance. Our goal is to maintain offseason growth while reducing risk of injury and improve in the end overall on ice productivity.
In addition, we offer specialized offseason programs for teams looking to make significant gains during the summer months. This also allows team to build overall chemistry and prepare for the season.
